THANKS, James Roy Date: Sat, 31 May 1997 12:24:38 -0800 From: kcmurray@slip.net (Kevin C. Murray) Subject: Summer Dress and other RHP songs ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I tried out James Roy's version of "Summer Dress" by RHP, and found one problem, and figured out the end chords. The progression in the song is basically Am, D, G, Am, which you can strum quite nicely with some hammering and pulling mixed in. So the picking should go: D----------------------3-------- A-----0/1\0------3-----3-----1-0 F----2-----2-----2--2--------2- C---2-------2---0--0--0------2-2 G-0-----------------------0-3--- D------------0/2-----3---1------ (The only difference being the high notes on the 3rd fret rather than the 2nd; might have been a typo). The end progression seems to be C, G, F, G. Keep in mind this is all drop D tuning, so the notes I'm giving you are not the "true" notes, but the chord formations you'd play in the lower tuning, i.e. a "G" chord is: D--3 A--3 F--0 C--0 G--2 D--3 Hope that helps. with the song.
