DUK KOO KIM Been taking a look at all these discussions for a while now, but I'm finally registered, so I thought I'd add this. Here's my take on duk koo kim, which sounds fine when played along with the record. The rhythm's always tricky so I've just put the chord changes in - some are hit once, whereas others are strummed for a few bars (just listen to the Cd and it'll be fiarly clear I hope). Tuning as above (got that from the setlist with all the guitar tunings - email me if you can't find it and want a jpeg of it) Intro: 000220 (to 0 on the second string and back for the variations) 5x050x 002020 (hammer on to 3, pull off to 2, 0, hammer on to 2 on the second string) Chorus: Not sure, some variation around those first few chords Then: 000750 000(12)(10)0 (brackets are just there to make the numbers clearer) 000(12)90 000750 000200 With the Portuguese guitar playing something like these chords: 000(17)(15)0 or 000530 000(12)(10)0 The other bit being (Tricky rhythm this one!): 11x11x00 9x9x00 7x7x00 6x6x00 7x7x00 007000 Outro: Finger picked, and not sure of the pattern, but the high melody is: 12, 10, 8,7, 3 then 0XX200 x 2 I think, on the 6th string, although you can play it 3 frets higher on the 2nd string) 5,8,7,3 then 0XX200 x 2 that first chord on the 'show me love' bit should be XX0970 not XX0750 by: patrick.mcclure@nottingham.ac.uk -------------------------------------------------------------------- duk koo kim - sun kil moon submitted by acab tuning: standard try playing these chords, it's similar to the full band version of the song that i've heard live. verse: E|--0----0----0----0----0 A|--0----0----0----0----0 D|--8----6----8----6----8 G|--6----7----9----7----6 B|--7----7----9----7----7 E|--0----5----7----5----0 ---- duk koo kim submitted by acab DADEBD play around with these chords for the verses.
