Okay, I thought this would be a lot harder but today as I sat down and played "Have You Forgotten" I realized that "Gentle Moon," probably my favorite off of Ghosts of The Great Highway can actually be played rather well with the same tuning. So here we go: Tuning: EADGCE, Capo 1. Chords: G: 3x0023 D: xx0222 C: x32000 Em: 022000 Intro: G-C, plus that little riff that goes something like this: E---------3--------------------------3----------------------- C-----0---------------------------0-------------------------- G-4----------0-2-2h4-2-0--4-------4-------------------- D---------------------------------------------0-0h2-0-2--- A-------------------------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------------------------- Verses go with the same chords, G and C. Then the first "Gentle Moon, find them soon.." etc goes with D and C The real chorus goes G - D - C - Em - C No idea about the electric riff in the chorus, and some of the Ds sound a bit out of place but this has some things right at least :) It might be that the tuning is standard. Someone with a better ear for melody (and a more comprehensive knowledge of chords!) might get this one nailed better. Antti Piirainen [spoiltvictorianchild@gmail.com] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Gentle Moon On : Ghosts of the Great Highway By : Sun Kil Moon Tuning : DADGCD capo 1 Note : This is a proposal of how to play Gentle Moon solo. It's based on the electric guitar part from the album version, but I've tried to add a walking bass when possible which allows you to maintain a certain rythmic coherence. I hope the tab is lisible : the INTERLUDE is the part when he sings "Gentle moon, find us soon..." with his falsetto voice. The 2ND LAST BAR is the last bar of the 2nd interlude (which leads into the third and last interlude).
